CA’N PICAFORT

Ca’n Picafort is situated along the centre of the Bay of Alcudia. The resort has a traffic-free promenade backed by bars and restaurants. It also boasts a commercial port. About 1 km to the east from the centre of Ca'n Picafort is the small resort area of Son Baulo which has a very wide beach with good views towards Cap de Alcudia. This area is very good for families. It also hosts the weekly market for Ca'n Picafort along its seafront streets.

From the centre going west is a beach of very fine sand, this continues all the way to Puerto Alcudia over 6 kms away. Most of the way the beach is backed by dunes, which in turn are backed by pinewoods.

In the vicinity are nature reserves that are popular with both photographers and walkers spotting the migratory bird-life among the marshes.

CALA D'OR Cala D'or (Cala Gran)

Cala d'Or is a very attractive resort area, built round a number of small coves (calas). It is noted for its dazzling white Ibizan style architecture, and has good quality hotels, restaurants and shops. Artists favour Cala d'Or as well as holidaymakers, with its small picturesque beaches at the ends of narrow coves between pine wooded cliffs. The largest cove, Cala Llonga, has a sizeable yacht marina.

Over the last ten years or so there has been much development and enlargement of the resort area. All the development has been of a 'low-rise' and high quality type, however, it has cost Cala d'Or its previous secluded charm. That said, the resort area still retains a delightful elegance and ‘up-market’ feel.

CALA MILLOR Cala Millor

Cala Millor is a very popular holiday area with a very good sandy beach of over a mile long backed by modern hotels and a traffic free promenade. There are many shops, bars, restaurants and a few discos; however, the resort cannot be described as boisterous. A number of the British owned bars offer live entertainment, e.g. The Sportsmans and Rose & Crown. There are also Bier Kellars and Bier Gardens with outdoor dancing. The resort is well planned, with the traffic-free promenade being very popular for both daytime and evening strolls. Cala Millor is popular with both British and German tourists.

CALA BONACala Bona

The neighbouring little port of Cala Bona has a couple of small sandy beaches. The nightlife in Cala Bona is pretty low-key. Entertainment tends to be centred on the hotels or friendly bars. A few of the bars, e.g. The Londoner and the White Boar, offer live entertainment in the evenings. The area around the port is particularly attractive with its numerous terraced restaurants. Cala Bona is very popular with British tourists - many returning year after year.Cala Bona PortCala Bona Port
